MEET THE LEADERS
AG Publishing was founded on a simple idea: authors do better when they keep control of their work and get a real partner, not a processing queue.

Amanda "Mandy" Gagel, PhD
Founder
Amanda has spent more than two decades as an editor, project manager, and publishing strategist across both university presses and private-sector publishing houses. Most recently, as Managing Editor of Custom Books and Higher Education at Scholarus Learning, she led editorial teams producing more than 50 titles a year in the sciences and humanities. Her university-based editorial work spans the Mark Twain Project at UC Berkeley, the Papers of Frederick Law Olmsted at the University of Virginia, the Selected Letters of Vernon Lee (Routledge), and editorial roles at Boston University and Tilburg University. Amanda holds a PhD and founded AG Publishing to give authors the editorial rigor of a university press with the speed and flexibility of a boutique firm.

Kevin Gallagher
Vice President Operations
Kevin brings more than 20 years of operations and financial management experience from banking and financial technology companies to AG Publishing's business infrastructure. He spent 14+ years at Bank of America, rising from Officer to Assistant Vice President, before moving into fintech and specialty finance operations as Servicing Operations Manager at Kiavi, Head of Borrower Support at Scratch, and most recently as Senior Manager, Servicing Operations at Point Digital Finance. At AG Publishing, Kevin applies that same discipline to contracts, royalty tracking, and financial transparency.
